The Cahuala Professional Center is a group of young professionals from Santiago who moved to Castro (Chiloé Island) in 1987 to find new horizons and ways of life. Such an organization is composed of Architects, Engineers, Psychologists, Educators, Geographers and Historians. From a multidisciplinary approach, these experts address the demands of the local population, especially in the fields of education, health, architecture, urban development and construction. Inspired by the current debate on Regionalized Housing, this group has submitted the present paper, which has been published by the Housing Institute.
